SHMART ART

So I was just lollygaggin down a street in Lincoln Square and came across this 'local artist store' and I was like eh why not...little did I know that I was about to make my first art purchase. I'm not against buying art.  Actually, it didn't occur to me that I hadn't until I made this post. I guess it's always just been a little too expensive for my '$20 is a splurge' budget.
So when some wood block prints by Anna Todaro caught my eye, I was pleasantly surprised to find them priced $15 each. I knew I really wanted them because I already had a mental image of where I was going to place them in my house when I picked them up.... now to choose. Between these two actually:

After staring at them with a blank stare for 15 minutes, I decided to just get both and since it's like, art and all, I didn't feel too guilty about it because not only am I helping my (somewhat) local community, I'm also contributing to someone's creative juices.....gross, whatever. They're pretty animals, I didn't feel guilty ok? Here are some more paintings from Anna's website, which links to her etsy which you can also buy guilt free artist juice from:

 so booderful, great job Anna.
